Maintaining Cholesterol Levels

Maintaining a Healthy Diet and Lifestyle

Maintaining a Healthy Diet and Lifestyle

Eating a healthy, balanced diet plays an essential role in lowering your cholesterol levels. This is also the key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
However sometimes a dietary supplement is recommended by your doctor when lowering cholesterol levels.
Take a look at how All In One can help you to achieve this naturally, with no side effects.

Eat Heart-Healthy Foods

What you eat can have a direct impact on your cholesterol level.

1. Choose healthier fats – Saturated fat and trans fat raise your total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol. The most common sources of saturated fat in the diet are red meat, processed meats and dairy products that are not fat-free. Use lean cuts of meat and skim milk instead Monounsaturated fat — found in olive and canola oils — is a healthier option. Avocados, almonds, pecans and walnuts are other sources of healthy fat.

2. Avoid trans fats.Trans fats –  Found in margarines and commercially baked cookies, crackers and snack cakes – are particularly bad for your cholesterol levels. Foods listing “partially hydrogenatedoils” in the ingredients contain trans fats.

3. Select whole grains – Various nutrients found in whole grains promote heart health. Choose whole-grain breads, whole-wheat pasta, whole-wheat flour and brown rice. Oatmeal and oat bran are other good choices.

4. Stock up on fruits and vegetables – Fruits and vegetables are rich in dietary fibre, which can help lower cholesterol. Snack on seasonal fruits.

5. Eat heart-healthy fish – Some types of fish — such as cod, tuna and halibut — have less total fat, saturated fat and cholesterol than do meat and poultry. Salmon, mackerel and herring are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help promote heart health.

6. Drink alcohol only in moderation –  Moderate use of alcohol may increase your levels of HDL cholesterol — but the benefits aren’t strong enough to recommend alcohol for anyone who doesn’t drink already. If you choose to drink, do so in moderation. This means no more than one drink a day for women and one to two drinks a day for men.

Get Active

Even a 30 minute brisk walk each day is scientifically proven to lower cholesterol and aid overall health. Regular exercise can help improve your cholesterol levels. With your doctor’s OK, work up to 30 to 60 minutes of exercise a day. Aim for 2-3 hours of moderate aerobic activity every week for best results.

Don’t Smoke

If you smoke, stop. Cigarette smoking increases your risk of heart disease because it damages your blood vessels and speeds up the accumulation of plaque within arteries.

Natural Alternatives to Medicine

With your Dr’s OK, look at products that include ingredients known for improving heart healthy including red yeast rice, phyto-sterols and Co Enzyme Q10.

There are many products available that comprise 1 or even 2 of these ingredients listed.

All in One is the only Natural Statin-Alternative on the market with the following patented combination of 3 cholesterol lowering ingredients:

• Red Yeast Rice – in an FDA approved concentration
• Plant Sterols
• CoQ10

All In One – the Statin-Alternative- is an all natural dietary supplement that is patented for its unique and proprietary Triple Action Cholesterol Management Formula.

If you choose to take cholesterol-lowering supplements, remember the importance of a healthy lifestyle. If your doctor prescribes medication to reduce your cholesterol, take it as directed. Make sure your doctor knows which supplements you’re taking as well.
